I thought about something today and wrote it down…I was wondering why people are so connected over tragedy, why they turn on tvs and pcs and radios and then talk about horrible things like war and murder over a water cooler or a meal….Here’s my perspective: people are feeling hopeless and helpless and so, if they can’t be united in hope, they can feel united in tragedy, it’s something we all, at some point, will have in common. It’s a way to share with other humans…..My wish is that the sharing, the connection, the community will shift, once again, to one of hope!
